Volunteer advocates needed for abused children

OKLAHOMA CITY — Abused children come from every zip code in Oklahoma County.

Only a third of Oklahoma County juvenile cases have a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteer.

CASA volunteers are the eyes and ears of the court; they speak for the children.

CASA of Oklahoma County has about 200 volunteers right now.

They are actively recruiting additional volunteers to meet the needs of the Oklahoma County juvenile court system.

CASA of Oklahoma County Executive Director, Lee Ann Limber, hopes to add 100 volunteers in the next year.
